Supper and a show

Just when we were getting to the point of wandering what to do with the day, Lara phoned to ask if the boys were doing anything. Nope, nothing planned, I said. Lara came to collect the boys at around 11 and they spent the rest of the day at Ray and La’s place with Kaydon and Jared. Glen came over, we went to Northgate where I had banking to do (finally managed to pay for the police clearance which is presently holding up our NZ visa applications – the original payment from the Bank of St Helena was lost) and then we also did more box packing at Al and Kate’s place. I watched the rain with ZoĆ« for a while – there was a beautiful thunder shower with huge drops of rain. We are enjoying the spectacular cloud formations and African skies – on the island we had predominantly grey skies at Longwood, otherwise clear blue skies with just a few puffy clouds. Here there are monstrously huge mountains of cloud billowing up, layering with wisps of white or grey thunderclouds. It’s awesome – how can people forget about their creator when there is this spectacular display of his creativity? Went to collect the boys at 6 where we had dinner as well. The boys had been planning and practicing a show for us, so after a delicious chicken pasta and salad supper, we were treated to a performance of Robin Hood. Very entertaining and we could see that a lot of thought had gone into it. Well done boys!
