Sunday was our anniversary - 12 years of wedded bliss :> for us and I think 29 for Ken and Joy. The day itself was quite ordinary, in that we hadn't particularly planned anything to celebrate, but having the Judds with us was really special. We had church as usual and they came with us, thoroughly enjoying John's teaching. Being the first Sunday of the month there was a fellowship lunch following the morning service, and after lunch Ken and Joy headed off to Christchurch. We went back home and had a game of monopoly; by pm church time only Caleb and I were left in the game so we paused it and resumed after the service (Caleb won with wads of money and hotels).
Monday was Aaron's 9th birthday - my baby! Ugh, they are growing up too fast. Both boys were awake at 6 so we all got up together and did the pressie-hunt in the lounge. Being enrolled in 'regular' school means we don't get birthdays as a holiday anymore, so it was off to school as usual. Had MacDonalds for tea though which was Aaron's choice, then in the evening we had a music practice at Lizzie's shop for carolling coming up on Saturday. If you're in Timaru, you simply MUST see her Christmas-decorated foyer (Artfull Crafts in town)!! It's just amazing!
