Beat up dad

Yesterday and today have been almost exclusively @home days for me, but Nick has been gallivanting. For me, being a closet recluse, the time alone (alone with family, that is) has been quite a pick-me-up! We had supper at Kath's place last night, another would-be farewell dinner if we were leaving the country on Thursday. Nick submitted himself to pool-noodle and sword beatings from five boys (our two and their cousins and a neighbour) although gave more than he got - all in good fun. Today I did a trial pack of our suitcases to see if we are going to be within our allowance, and we're just tottering on the edge although space is presently more of an issue than weight...will just have to squash harder!
