Extermination Trio
Managed to get our usually-wooden firstborn to give Rachel and Amanda proper hugs this morning before leaving, in their final farewells. We left their place at 9 as they still had school to get to (yes, on a Saturday {gasp} as they all have Mondays off together), and headed back to my parents. My Dad recruited the boys to help with mole cricket extermination from the front and back lawns - he pours a mixture of water and dishwashing liquid onto the grass, and ten minutes later these revolting little creatures come slithering up through the grass, and quickly popped into a tin can. Those which were not captured by the boys were soon found by birds. In the afternoon we were with Tony and Sue for a superb BBQ. Ethan and Jack were also visiting as per their usual Saturday arrangement, so the four of them had fun together again, in and out the swimming pool. Finished off the day with Jock of the Bushveld - such a sad but beautiful story.
