Had another wonderfully Christ-filled and people-filled day...we had a special guest preacher today by way of Zohar Gonan, whose message on the Rich Young Ruler was very challenging and interesting - being Jewish himself, he shed some interesting light on customs and cultures surrounding the passage. We had a fellowship lunch at the church, then while Zohar, Tehila, Aviel and Eliya did their grocery shopping at PaknSave (one takes opportunities to use decent shops when one has them!), we took Liam and Yakim with us to the Kempf's house for some more afternoon socialising. Played a game of Buzz, which we haven't played since our introduction to the game at Craig and Lara Martin's house in SA several years ago. We keep saying that the Martins would really get along with our NZ friends - here is further proof! Time for a visit, ey, Craig and La? Back to church at 4 pm for a quick run-through of the music, then Zohar was back in the pulpit for a discussion on the evangelism ministry that he and Tehila do in NZ among Jewish tourists, as well as a very interesting look at some of the Old Testament prophesies which point to Jesus as Messiah which they would regularly share with Jews as they seek to share the gospel. After church we spread ourselves around the Gregorys' paddock and house for a hamburger BBQ, soccer and table-tennis. Super to be enjoying their new house with them, which very comfortably accommodated a crowd of at least 26 people. Utterly spent ourselves on 'donkey' or 'around the world' with great mirth!
