Third Sunday already - starting to feel like we've been here ages already! Being the first Sunday of the month, the church had a fellowship lunch after the morning service. It was fun - I think 95% of the congregation stayed on for the highly sociable affair. Here are some of our people...Olive and Cynthia, sisters, are two of our more mature members. Lovely ladies originally from the UK.Caleb coming in for something to drink...The teenage gals having their meal outside...Kerry, Craig and SimonNick and Nigel finding something funny
John and Rene engaging in something deepAnd my day's favourite photo, Erin-Marie Phillips (Grant and Petru's firstborn). She was just in the right patch of light. After lunch and clean-ups were done (and I have photographic evidence of Elder John on vacuum duty and the boys in the kitchen) we accompanied Grant and Petru on a visit to a South African family - sort of a gatecrash arrangement to Matt and Adele de Beer. Adele was incidentally our travel agent, so had the worst of the passport delays to deal with in rebooking our flights. They are shortly off to SA on holiday, and offered us their house to live in until we get our rental place...this after having known us for less than an hour! (We turned them down of course, but thought the offer very gracious). I enjoyed a cup of rooibos tea after so many cups of ceylon...I really must find the Binen store which apparently stocks it!
