Apparently it’s not flower season on the island – at least, not white flower season. Nick and I drove around looking for flowers for the wedding but there was not a single arum lily in bloom. The best we could find were orange lilies of some kind, but fortunately the bridal couple made a better plan for the bouquet, finding a spider-lily from Castle Gardens – one stem had several blooms on it in a lovely subtle colour. The rehearsal in the evening was very quick. Nick likes to run over the order of events so the couple knows what to expect, and what to answer in response to the “Do you” and “Will you” questions. Good thing the bride was awake because she noticed that Nick would have omitted the signing of the register!
